Challenging and changing your thinking is probably the most important skill you could ever develop for yourself when it comes to creating the results you want in your life (living a life you love)! Your thinking is the ‘blue print’ that determines your results. The good news is you can re-write the blue print and change (upgrade) the way you think and ultimately upgrade your results!
Challenging and changing the way you think isn’t always easy but if you are willing to do what doesn’t feel easy life will become easy. The quality of your relationships, experiences and outcomes (results) will only grow to the extent you do! People with extraordinary results consistently learn, grow and upgrade their thinking.
The first small step to challenging and changing your thinking is to firmly believe, and fully understand the concept ‘you’re thinking is creating your results in your life’. Sounds like a trivial step but it really isn’t. This seemingly trivial step is so commonly overstepped by most people who don’t have the results they want! Their familiar thinking (programming) jumps in and they think I know that. If they really knew it they would be doing it. The I know that program shuts off deeper understanding and becomes a road block to new and better results.
I don’t know if you are like me but I constantly need to be reminded of these small but powerful concepts. Each time you hear a powerful concept, read one, experience one etc. a little bit sticks with you and stays in your mind – over time they become a dominant thought! And as you know our dominant thoughts call us to take action and ultimately create our reality (results).
Another reason most people don’t get the results they want is because they know ‘oh so well’ what they ‘don’t want’ but they don’t have the same know for what they ‘do want’ and they don’t take the time to do what needs to be done. Most people only do what is convenient or comfortable and then wonder why they only have convenient results (relationships, experiences and outcomes) show up in their life.
I am hoping you are starting to realize the importance of the next step which is to identify what your present thinking ‘blue print’ looks like in all the areas of your life so you can start creating more of what you want for the rest of your life!
Living a life you love, creating the results you desire is simple if you take the time to develop the skill of challenging and changing your thinking (upgrade you’re thinking). You’re wishing on a star, you’re prayers to your loving creator, your conversations with your nearest and dearest and your voice of reason will be the same level and standard as your internal thinking. Whatever is going on externally/publically is a true reflection (mirror) of what is happening internally/privately.
Doesn’t it make sense that it is absolutely impossible for anyone person or any high power to give you what your heart desires if your desires are unknown or even worse deeply buried beneath the ‘I don’t want’ pile. Plants need water and sunlight to grow and survive and so do your desires.
Don’t let not knowing how to challenge and change your thinking put a ceiling on your results – make it your business to think ‘BIG and WONDERFUL’ thoughts for yourself and for others!
Roger Banister sporting achievement is an example of the power of challenging and changing ones ‘thinking’. Roger so successfully demonstrated that ‘where you’re thinking goes energy flows, and your results show’.
In 1954, Roger Bannister achieved what had been thought ‘impossible’. He achieved one of the most notable sporting feats of all time by becoming the first man to run a mile in under four minutes. Scientist and doctors had previously thought that the human heart would burst under the stress of such an effort.
Roger succeeded because he believed that it was possible – he challenged the thought and changed the thought. Another thing that is so interesting about Rogers’s change of thought is within a year of his achievement, 37 other runners matched his time and over the next few years 300 more achieved it.
Not only did Roger make the ‘impossible’ possible for himself he made the ‘impossible’ possible for others as well.
Challenging and changing your thinking doesn’t only have the potential to make a positive difference to your life it can make a positive difference to others too! Consistent small changes can make a huge difference!!
